My hair stylist was Lori, who was incredibly talented with the cut, colour correction and colour, but was patient and ensured to meet my goals in a realistic manner. I have to say that I never write reviews but today, well simply, I have to.
I have never walked into a salon that I immediately felt like I was part of the family. Picture this, you drive through miserable winter weather to get to the stylist, you pull up and walk through ice to get to the front door, you open the door and immediately you are greeted by the warm and fabulous girls at the front reception. moving along the incredibly effervescent Chloe swoops in on you with a brilliant smile as she offers me dry boot covers on one hand while taking my coat to hang with the other hand. Chloe then lets me know that Lori, the owner and my stylist will be with me shortly. She then offers me an orange juice, water, or a perrier as she is escorting me to my seat. I am feeling like the greatest guest at a royal event as she sits me down and with a brilliant smile introduces me to Lori and rushes off to get my perrier.
I then have the pleasure of chatting with Lori and was instantly put to ease with her professionalism and charming personality as she helped me to get over my underlying apprehension at getting my long hair cut into a much shorter look. I felt that I was in the best hands ever with Lori cutting my hair. she could identify with having cut her own long hair and how I must be feeling. I knew instinctively that I had come to the right place. Chloe came back with my perrier and took me over to wash my hair. We laughed and chatted with the other stylist and customers around us. I loved how comfortable I felt and loved how much fun I was having.
Chloe took me back to my seat with Lori and my hair cutting event began. Lori was so amazing with me and Chloe was working beside us and chatting with us all the way through my cut. When the cut was done, Chloe took over and curled my hair. I asked Lori if maybe the back should be a little shorter. She advised me to wait a few weeks before I made that decision. She said " we can always cut more off but we cannot grow it back, so it is better to sit with it and then come back. She also said that she would cut it more then if I wanted and would not charge me for the adjustment. I was seriously blown away by her kind consideration towards my new haircut.
I cannot praise this salon and the fantastic people who work there. I feel like each person harmonizes with the other into the most perfectly orchestrated team.
I do not know how you managed this Lori, but your people seem hand picked to blend into the most brilliant atmosphere you have created at IVY AND MANE SALON & SPA. Congratulations to a job well. done, all of you.
P.S. you do not know this yet but I have spoken with my sister a few minutes ago and she is going to be coming from Burlington to get her hair cut with you.

I have been coming to Ivy and Mane for several years now, and I have never once left disappointed with the results. At this point, Rebecca is genuinely the only person I trust with my hair. Not only does she consistently achieve the look I’m hoping for, but she is also honest and thoughtful about what will work best for my hair. She isn’t afraid to speak up if something Id like may not be ideal, and always takes the time to clearly set expectations. Which I should add is quite important, as I tend to be someone who likes to go from one extreme to the other, colour wise. The patience this girl has should be studied :P Rebecca also offers really great advice on keeping your hair healthy, (especially after bleaching), and her knowledge has saved my hair more times than I can count.

While most of my experience has been with Rebecca, I feel that the entire Ivy and Mane team deserves recognition. Each and every one of them is lovely, and always offer a warm, and welcoming atmosphere. As someone who struggles with mental health, that sense of comfort truly matters, and Ivy and Mane consistently delivers. No matter the time of day, I’m always greeted with friendly smiles that feel sincere and reassuring. The salon also offers a wide variety of services, and the pricing is very reasonable for the level of care, skill, and overall experience provided.

Not only a stunning space but a very inviting atmosphere. Light and airy as you walk in and beautifully decorated.

My stylist Kali took the time to hear about what I wanted and offered suggestions on what she thought my hair could handle. I initially wanted more blonde but quickly realized that the integrity of my hair would take a hit. So we decided to go darker and let my hair heal. It came out super healthy and shiny! She even added a treatment!

The Magic at Ivy and Mane Is Real

This was my first time getting extensions—specifically hand-tied extensions, which I had always dreamed about but felt nervous to try. From the moment I met Rebecca, that nervousness completely melted away. She gave me so much personal attention, was completely honest, and explained everything thoroughly—no fluff, just real guidance and expertise. And the price? So fair and competitive, especially given the high-end experience.

Rebecca went above and beyond—she rushed the order and got my extensions installed in time for my wedding, working tirelessly to make sure the color match was absolutely seamless. Even the other clinic owner walked in, stunned that I was there for extensions (cause I usually go for marinkas amazing massages) because the blend was that good she didn’t even seeeeee that’s the whole point sisters—it looked like a magic trick.

What really makes Ivy and Mane special is the women behind it. They’re strong, thoughtful, honest, and truly all about lifting women up—total “girls’ girls” in the best way. I left feeling confident, beautiful, and so seen.

I feel like I want to walk around town telling everyone about the magic these women create—especially if you’ve ever considered hand-tied extensions or literally anything else, they do hair makeup up spa treatments and so much more. I’d never come in for more than a massage before… and now I honestly can’t imagine life without them. Switching my hair saloon immediately.

The people are the heart of any company and what makes a place a welcoming, cozy, and safe haven.

I feel very blessed, grateful and appreciative to finding my stylist Lynsay Schiedel.

I have been searching for a salon in Brantford for a while now and so I researched many different places on Google, Facebook and Instagram for recommendation to salons and hairstylists. Ivy and Mane popped up a few times and Lynsay’s name was mentioned so I started to follow the salon and Lynsay to see post updates before booking my first appointment. I picked Lynsay to book my first hair appointment because of the quality of the results I was seeing and I liked the look of her fun personality.

I messaged Lynsay and asked some questions and she immediately messaged me back with detailed communication that made me feel at ease and excited. Lynsay recommended booking a consultation appointment so she could meet me and see my hair. She greeted me a with happy, welcoming beautiful smile which brightened my day and made me feel relaxed. I was so impressed with the way she listened, her amazing questions and recommendations.

Lynsay was extremely patient, kind and attentive in answering all my queries and helped me understand different styles, hair textures, and colors. She highlighted my hair fantastically. She also educated me and went above and beyond to provide me with valuable tips and knowledge to better care for my hair. Building trust quickly isn't easy, but Lynsay did it effortlessly. I will definitely be coming back to have my hair cut and highlighted/coloured.

Lynsay has a beautiful personality inside and out. I was nervous going to a new hair dresser and wondering “what are we going to talk about” but Lynsay has a lovely heart and is very easy to talk to. I actually felt like I have known her for years. Conversation was full of substance and easy! I really appreciated all her questions in trying to understand what I was looking for.

51 years old and I am still learning haha!!! I didn’t realize what warm meant or ash meant…I asked for one colour that I thought would be the colour I wanted, but quickly realized ‘oh no’, that is opposite to what I wanted and Lynsay quickly offered solutions to being able to alter what was done to make it what I was hoping for.

I walked in my door at home and my son’s girlfriend said “I love your hair”. Both of my sons said “mom your hair looks great”….I went to work the next day and a couple people said “wow what did you do to your hair - it looks great and really suits you”.

So I truly thank Lynsay for her time and her patience.

I've been in Brantford for a few years now and have tried a handful of salons, never leaving satisfied with what I wanted.

When I found Ivy & Mane they booked me with Lynsay and I couldn't have asked for a better stylist! For the first time in years I left the salon LOVING my hair. The first visit was a cut and style and a few months later I booked a coloring service. Loved both experiences. I've had great haircuts and styles from Ivy and Mane when it was still Urban Vanity, but the reason for my positive review is coming from my latest experience with how the staff follow-up and handle situations. The final result of my style was close to what I was looking for, but not exactly what I had hoped. This is absolutely the BEST salon in Brantford. I got my hair ruined by another salon and Hannah transformed my colour. I got a wonderful chocolate brown which was EXACTLY what I wanted. I returned to the salon to get my AMAZING beaded weft extensions with Rebecca. It was the most WONDERFUL experience I have ever had. Rebecca is the most amazing owner and was very concerned how I was feeling. The extensions were put in amazing and painless. Before I went into this salon 1 year ago I had got weft extensions in Toronto and they were installed incorrectly. Rebecca and Hannah are amazing and can trust with your hair. The customer service is 150%!

Initially I had gone in on a Thursday for an appointment at 4:30 pm for a wash and blow out, waited for 40 minutes and decided to let the staff know I was leaving.

Everyone was apologetic and offered to do my appointment then but I had to go. About an hour after leaving I received a phone call (I believe it was from Monique? Sorry if that’s not right) explaining the situation and apologizing again for the miscommunication. The stylist meant to do my hair wasn’t informed I was there and the person who called informed me they’re making some changes to the front desk set up. Okay, human error is normal - I appreciated the phone call and I can entirely understand the situation it’s just unfortunate when it happens to you.

The person on the phone offered to rebook me an appointment for the wash+blow out and an additional facial free of charge.

I just got back from my appointment. Hannah (the stylist) greeted me right away and said it would be just a minute, I believe it was Rebecca who then came up to me and apologized again for last week. I went to the washing station right after this convo where Hannah did my hair, the wash was very relaxing and the blow out was nice. The stylist was very kind and apologetic for last week as well.

When I finished I sat in the waiting area for about ten minutes before being taken to the facial room by Emilie. The room was beautiful, nice and relaxing. Emilie gave me some time to get settled on the table before she came in and assessed my skin. I have only had one facial before this one but let me tell you, it was amazing. I left feeling so relaxed and glowing.

I want to thank the team at Ivy and Mane. Your services were done well and the way the incident was handled was extremely professional and sincere. I was iffy on going back but I’m happy I did. Thank you ladies....more

I recently moved to Brantford and called Ivy and Mane for an appointment and they were able to accommodate me with barely any notice . Amanda ( junior stylist) corrected what a previous hairstylist did. She listened to me, she knew what needed to be done to correct the colour that was put on by the previous stylist. There is nothing junior about Amanda. She knows her craft!!!! She did a Fantastic job with my hair, I was very pleased needless to say. Oh and the head massage…WONDERFUL!

I then had a pedicure with Emilie. What a pleasure this was! Emilie was very attentive to the details of the pedicure . She makes her own scrubs that are wonderful on your skin. She takes her time and is very thorough. best pedicure I have ever had. You are stuck with me now Emilie!!

I met the owner Rebecca and what a kind, warm, pleasant person she is.

Oh and the receptionist was a doll as well. Very welcoming.

This salon hands down is the BEST salon I have ever been to.! They offer every service you can think of and have an owner that cares and staff that are skilled, friendly and kind.

Came here on a whim hoping to even out a very wonky hair cut from a pricey salon in Toronto. Lorie was so lovely and understood exactly what I wanted, asking questions and checking in with me to make sure the cut was right.
